Microneedling is the insertion of very fine, short, sterilised needles into the skin to support skin rejuvenation and the appearance of the texture of the skin on either face or body.
This treatment will consist of the use of a medical grade handheld device that creates hundreds of microscopic needle impressions into the skin, which will dramatically improve the appearance of the skin.
Microneedling
As the treatment pen is passed over the area of treatment, this creates small micro channels into the dermis (deeper) layer of the skin to promote a healing response, delivering a natural collagen production boost, as well as allowing deeper product penetration.
Microneedling is recommended over a course of 3-6 treatments, rather than a one-off to ensure consistently good results. These treatments should be around 4-6 weeks apart.
Healing time depends on the individual. The redness of the skin can last up to 24-48 hours.
The skin may feel a little tight after the treatment and dry patches may occur on the skin during this time. Once this subsides and the skin repairs this will leave the skin looking and feeling plump, radiant and glowing.
How it works?
Microneedling is recommended for:
Improves wrinkles and fine lines as well as skin tightening.
Stimulates collagen production promoting rejuvenation and better complexion of the skin.
Lightens and brightens hyperpigmentation (brown spots and melasma).
Improves the appearance of textured skin, such as scarring, pitting of the skin, stretch marks and post-surgical scarring.
Minimises pore size and revitalises the skin, leaving the skin’s appearance more radiant and healthy.
